Ingredients

  • white long grain rice, soaked for 2 hrs, drained
    300g
  • water
    1650g
  • oil
    30g
  • salt
    0.5teaspoon
  • white pepper, ground
    0.5teaspoon
  • taro, peeled, cut in pieces ( 2 cm )
    600g
  • dried shrimp
    20g
  • fried shallots
    20g

Preparation

  • step 1

    Place rice and water into mixing bowl.

  • step 2

    Press control knob and blend 3 mins/speed 10. Transfer into a bowl. Clean mixing bowl.

  • step 3

    Place oil, salt, white pepper, taro and dried shrimp into mixing bowl.

  • step 4

    Add fried shallots into mixing bowl.

  • step 5

    Press control knob and cook 15 mins/100°C/speed 2.

  • step 6

    Without measuring cup, press control knob and mix 2 mins/speed 4.5, add rice liquid through mixing bowl lid while mixing.

  • step 7

    Line steam cake mould with baking paper and set aside.

  • step 8

    Pour the mixture into the prepared mould then place it into Steamer.

  • step 9

    Place water into mixing bowl.

  • step 10

    Set Steamer into position, press control knob and steam 60 mins/120°C/speed 1.

  • step 11

    Cut in small pieces, serve immediately, or slightly pan-fry the surface.
